Lords of Winchendon

List of Major Lords of Winchedon (in order of influence)
(Note: Added some additional details I came across while looking into the artifact info, not sure if it is out of date or not, will need to clear up at some point).

  • Alton (clearly evil and in league with the dragon. Has/had a dragon slaying sword)
    – Alton has the most status of the Lords, and Billingham is in tight with the king.(Per Thom. Still evil though.)
  • Hollingsworth is a close neighbor. Ask Dagun about his daughters. His eldest daughter has been chosen to marry Alton’s son (but she is 10 years older)
  • Gyre (princess’ father)
    – Gyre rocketed up the list when his daughter was chosen to marry the prince.
  • Panteen (original notes said "where the tourney was, close to druids, power gap here was also not listed above)
    – Panteen is a neighbor to the South. Quinn and Ovecshire are in his lands.
  • The power gap remains after this, as Alton maintains the lands to his East, but isn’t likely to keep them forever. I expect he’s molding a lacky to put in place there. Meanwhile, the other Lords haven’t been able to showcase their status enough in the court to move up.
  • Gillead (Lock and Dam – used to adventure with Alton and Kennet)
    – Gilliad is in hock, and busy away from court, yet he maintains more power than other wealthy Lords, a testament to his Charisma I suppose.
  • Anthony Babington (rich mineral resources, allied with non-humans, of questionable loyalty)
    – Babington is a wildcard. His control of minerals and rough exterior make him influential, but he isn’t fully trusted.
  • Sir Francis Walsingham (coast, south of king’s lands, foreign intelligence manager – very significant foreign intelligence resource)
    – Walsingham, although having a great deal of influence on the king, isn’t very popular as it is known he is sneaky. And probably more crafty than all the other Lords combined.
  • Billingham (ally with the King during the civil war)
  • Vancine (neutral to everything)

Lord Wessex is known to be a tool. He also has no land. Well, he’s been granted Tyrnoth to govern, but that’s not like a lordship.
