Traveling in it’s purest sense is an experience the party hasn’t shared in ages. Each have had occasion to come and go, but usually as a group you’ve been pressed by the next adventure. Now, moving across the land while Travis discovers truths about the new items leads you all to a new appreciation of the long road.
During the weeks that passed, Faradey used his skills to help guide some pilgrims, to forage up some northern herbs for cooking, and to defend some herders from persistent “Howlies” (some monstrous form of carnivorous owls, sorta gobliny, too)
Krr found kindred spirits in the village of Heugerheuger, and came away with a few drinking songs and a drinking trophy. He used his skills to help rebuild the old alehouse, which was a very popular stop for travelers. Later he used his raft building skills to put together a floating bridge so locals could cross a river swollen with early spring waters.
Anwar served in the role of jurist to settle a dispute over access rights along a narrow mountain pass, in the end creating a precise schedule allowing all parties access. The people were so pleased with his manner, they paid him with a fat goat.
Overall it was a very rewarding road trip.
After leaving Faradey with his people, the group returned to Peleston, and then on to Destin, to check in with the enchanter Garson Kord. After some business there, Krr decides to leave to get some training of his own, and Anwar feels the pull of responsibility and returns to the Citadel to handle some important political issues.
Travis returns to Peleston to prepare for his Plane shift to the Plane of Radiance.
